Linda Pederson Park (Hernando Beach Park) is a 135-acre park where there are activities for both the young and the young at heart. At Pederson Park you can fish off a bank while you sit back and relax with the children playing at the playground and tot lot. Keep your eye out for a manatee as they are spotted here often. This is the perfect place for nature lovers. A 40-foot high observation tower will provide you with a beautiful panoramic view of the Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy your next gathering at Pederson Park, complete with a pavilion, grills, picnic tables, and a community building. There are swimming areas as well as showers and restrooms.
Rogers Park is a fresh water 3-acre beach park located on the Weeki Wachee River. Here you can take a refreshing swim, paddle a canoe, launch a boat or fish. If you’re lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of a manatee! Children of all ages will enjoy the playground. You can even gather with family and friends at the shelter complete with picnic tables, barbecue grills, showers and restrooms. You may even enjoy a game of volleyball on the Rogers Park volleyball court.

Weeki Wachee Springs has made Spring Hill its home for nearly 60 years. This “city of live mermaids” attracts visitors from all over Florida and the United States and has also been the location for movies requiring an “underwater” set. Many locals come back time and time again to visit this amazing park that is like no other. At Weeki Wachee you can sit and enjoy the infamous mermaid encounter underwater show where you will actually sit in an underwater theater as the mermaids entertain and interact with the audience. There are also animal shows to enjoy as well as the River Boat Ride which takes visitors on a boat ride down the spring. On the boat you will view some of Florida’s wildlife in their natural environments including a variety of birds, alligators, and fish. It is definitely not to be missed! Weeki Wachee Springs in Spring Hill, Florida is a historical attraction that will be enjoyed over and over again.
Buccaneer Bay is Weeki Wachee’s water park and Florida’s only natural spring fed water park. Since Buccaneer Bay opened children and adults alike have come to slide down the flumes into a cool refreshing natural spring. There is a kiddie pool area, complete with playground, Tiki Hut bar, lazy river and floating dock for jumping in and making a splash. You can rent tubes to float on and there is also a gift shop with all the necessities for fun in the sun. There is a sandy beach with lounge chairs and picnic areas. You can purchase lunch at the park or bring in your cooler packed with drinks, food and snacks. Make a splash at Buccaneer Bay at Weeki Wachee Springs. Bring the whole family for a fun filled day of family entertainment.

Spring Hill, Florida has an abundance of shopping choices including “super” discount centers, craft stores, pet stores, florists, home improvement centers and grocery stores. There are many “open air” shopping centers with specialty stores to meet your needs and the closest large mall, Gulf View Square is about 25 minutes away in Port Richey. The Suncoast Parkway makes traveling to other large shopping malls in Tampa very easily accessible and adds to the variety of shopping options.

Spring Hill has an abundance of restaurants ranging from family owned restaurants to larger franchise restaurants, beach restaurants out towards Hernando Beach to fast food restaurants located along U.S. Highway 19, Commercial Way and other areas of town. There is a surprising variety of dining choices in this continually growing area of Hernando County and also to the south in Pasco County. We love to recommend some dining establishments but since our expertise is in Real Estate, we don’t feel we should list restaurants for you to check out.
