What happened to the Kellogg mansion in Dunedin?

Hi everyone - just bringing an interesting fact about Dunedin. Behind me, this land, used belong to the Kellogg family (founder of Kellogg cereal). It was a 7,600-square-foot mediteranean style house that they built in the 1920s and the household name W. K. Kellogg actually purchased it in the 1930s, and it was known in Dunedin as the Kellogg Mansion. We would get traffic along this road when people would come to visit Dunedin just to see this house. It has been a staple in Dunedin for a very long time.

It was purchased in 2021 and the new owner decided to demolish it - which was sad - but now there is a new owner and we can't wait to see what they will do with the land here. As you can see, the only thing that remains here is a covered dock out there. It is in Dunedin Isles and we still have people drive by all the time to see where the Kellogg mansion used to be.
