Odessa Florida is a town shared by two counties with a portion of its location in
Pasco County and the other portion in
Hillsborough County. Odessa Real Estate history
began with a large sawmill that used to employ many individuals and a railroad that
traveled through the town. Certain families have called Odessa their home for
generations and generations, some even have made the Keystone Cemetery
their final resting place. With the continuous demand for new housing and communities
in the two counties in which Odessa lies, many of the original structures and houses are
no longer there. Today, Odessa real estate is still an area that seems somewhat untouched due to
the spacious feeling you get when you enter the area. There are still many areas of open
land despite all of the recent construction in the area. Many areas of Odessa are found down
back roads consisting of many trees, lakes and even some farmland. Businesses such as plant
farms, tree farms and nurseries are easily found in Odessa. One of the best things about
living in Odessa, Florida is while you have that feeling of living away from the urbanization
that most larger cities like Tampa may bring, you are still close enough to enjoy all of the conveniences.
Odessa real estate area borders the northwestern portion of Hillsborough County and
extends into Pasco County as it overlaps into an area called Keystone, an area
known for a large lake that shares its name. It continues to stretch into Hillsborough
County as far down as South Mobley Road and from there, stretches north into
Pasco County as far as State Road 54 giving this town the convenience of two
counties for work, shopping and enjoyment. Tampa is the neighbor that sits next
to Odessa on it's more southern side offering more conveniences to the airport,
large businesses, shopping, dining and area attractions. Odessa, Florida is also
convenient to interstates and toll roads making other areas that are further away
seem very much within reach. Interstate 275 and the Veteran's Expressway will
take Odessa residents into Tampa, St. Petersburg, and the Gulf Beaches, while
the Suncoast Parkway on the Pasco side will take them to the more northern
areas.
