Indian Shores Beach

Even though Indian Shores is primarily a residential town, they still have a tourist-friendly
environment through the use of their white, sandy beach. Indian Shores Beach has
two of the towns four public parks, one of which provides beach access and the
others providing access and a wonderful view of the Intercoastal Waterway.
There is also a fishing pier where residents and visitors can enjoy a day of breathing
in the sea air while making a fresh catch. Lending to a less crowded atmosphere
is what sets
Indian Shores Beach aside from its more commercialized neighbors.
Indian Shores Parks
Estelle Harper Park sits adjacent to the Intercoastal Waterway and provides residents
and visitors amenities such as a children's playground and a large pavilion with barbecue
grills and a full kitchen. The recently rebuilt tennis courts are open on a first come,
first served basis and are free to all park visitors. In addition to these amenities are
public restrooms located within the pavilion/kitchen vicinity.
Town Square Nature Park is located on Gulf Boulevard and provides its guests with
two covered pavilions with picnic tables and plenty of parking. The most significant
aspect of this park is the 800 foot long boardwalk that will guide you through this
parks natural settings and eventually lead you to a fishing pier set in this tropical environment.
At Town Square Nature Park you can enjoy a quiet leisurely lunch, bring your rod and
reel to catch some fish, or just enjoy the atmosphere as you stroll down the boardwalk.
Tiki Gardens Beach Access Park allows the public access to the beautiful beach of Indian
Shores. This former tourist attraction is now owned by Pinellas County and has been
transformed into a large parking area, providing the public with an inexpensive place
to park and enjoy a day on beautiful Indian Shores Beach.
Mayor Bob McEwen Veterans Park was named in 1999 to recognize former Mayor Bob
McEwen and our nation's veterans. This park provides visitors with picnic benches,
barbecues, fishing and a great view of the Intercoastal Waterway.
Indian Shores Annual Events
Each year Indian Shores holds its annual holiday boat parade where 35 decorated
and lighted boats of all sizes, motorized and non-motorized will delight onlookers as
they get into the holiday spirit. The boats are judged throughout the parade as the
cruise down the Intercoastal Waterway and ceremonies will be held for the winners.
You can watch the parade from your very own balcony when you buy a
condo or
any other real estate in
Indian Shores.

Indian Shores has many beachfront restaurants offering a variety of cuisine. Residents
not only enjoy this fare, but also take a short drive inland where they can find just
