While Dunedin has a small town image, it is actually a bustling city of 37,000 residents. It is one of the older cities on the western part of Florida. Its wooded and subtropical setting with nearly four miles of breath-taking waterfront, a easy-going lifestyle, and activities galore, make Dunedin a truly delightful place to call home or visit.

Richard L. Garrison recorded the first land deed for sale in 1852 - only seven years after Florida became a state. The town became incorporated in 1899, and a city in 1925. Nielsen Company, the well known "TV Ratings" people who have now relocated to Oldsmar. Today, the citrus business has all but disappeared, but the community's Scottish heritage is kept alive with the annual Highland Games and other festivals.
